I'm sure most of you got Fade's text earlier today about meeting up at his place this Saturday to plan for Evo. At first I thought, "What the fuck do we need to plan for? Just practice and play." But I thought about it, and here is what I propose:
An in depth character study from week to week where we try to talk specifics about a couple of characters, basics, strength and weaknesses and what to do to combat those weaknesses (generally speaking, not specific to each persons character because it would drag on if we broke shit down for each person to fight that character). So each person could take on studies of a few characters and present one for study each week.
So far I'm bringing to the table:
Yoshi
Jack-6
Raven
Miguel
Marduk
Also, throw tier listings out of your mind for any and all characters. Everyone plays every character a different way and may come up with things other people will never think of. Gimmiks included, any character can be dangerous in the right hands. Our best chance of making a name for Vegas is to take what we know about each character and teach ourselves to fight, adapt and survive as much as possible.
If we get just enough people I might throw in a tourney for us. just to see if the new comers can handle the pressure(im pretty sure they can but we will see anyways).Call to arms
